“Gallery of Anastasia Chizhova” presents an exposition of 15 dolls by Olina Ventsel at the First Moscow International Festival of art “Traditions and Contemporaneity” which will take place on January 24-27, 2007 at the Central exhibition hall “Manezh”.

The purpose of the festival is to reveal the diversity of modern artistic trends and introduce new talents to the world. Modern artists from Russia and abroad have been invited to participate. The exposition will be divided into 6 sections: painting, graphic arts, photography, installation, applied art and sculpture.

Awards presentation will crown the festival. Olina Ventsel’s doll “Venetian girl” is nominated as the “The Best Author’s Work in Applied Art”.

The festival is supported by the Ministry of culture and mass communication of the Russian Federation, Culture committee of the Russian Federation State Duma, Culture committee of Moscow, Commission of the Russian Federation on UNESCO affairs, Russian Center for International Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (Roszarubezhtsentr), Russian Academy of Arts, Artists Union of the Russian Federation and Artists Union of Moscow.
