MASQUERADE AT PUSHKIN’S MUSEUM

The First Moscow International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Contemporaneity” was held in Manezh on January 24-27.

About 50 galleries, over 500 artists of Russia, CIS countries, France, Italy, Spain, Finland, USA, Japan, Egypt, Israel and other countries took part in the Festival.

Some outstanding masters (Z. Tsereteli, T. Salakhov), teachers and graduates of art universities and colleges, prominent galleries of Moscow and St. Petersburg were among the participants.

Jury headed by the national artist of Russia Tair Salakhov selected the best of works and nominated 14 winners. They were awarded a Statue of Vera (Faith) made of bronze, Ural gems and quartz crystal.

Olina Ventsel representing “Gallery of Anastasia Chizhova” was awarded in the nomination “Best author’s work” in the field of applied art for her doll “Venetian Girl” (A miraculous image of Venice).
