On May 18, 2007 State Pushkin’s Museum starts exhibiting Olina Ventsel’s works. Exhibition called “Masqerade at Pushkin’s Museum” will demonstrate porcelain dolls from collection of Gallery of Anastasia Chizhova.

For two weeks museum halls will be decorated to create a fairy tale atmosphere of Venetian carnival and Russian masqerade with Olina Ventsel’s works as main characters – one-of-a-kind dolls, the majority of which are kept at European museums and private collections of outstanding people of our times.

Olina Ventsel believes that the coming exhibition is the first attempt to present the dolls not as a separate and valuable piece of art but yet as a part of a large-scale project under a general conception. Among the displayed at the exhibition are representatives of royal dynasties, prominent public figures, actors, artists, and fairy tale and mythological characters. The exhibition will be open till June 1, 2007.

Address of the museum: 12/2 Prechistenka str., Moscow, Kropotkinskaya metro station.
